For the person in your life who appreciates a statement piece of jewellery with movable parts.

The story card accompanying this 'Bonesetter' pendant reads:

'A traditional Irish cure for repairing a broken bone was bone-setting. This was a skill carried down through the ages in certain families called 'Bonesetters', who were called to the patients house to re-set a broken bone. This adornment shows two arms forming their emblem 'B', with two small hands, re-setting the broken bone. When gently maneuvered, these bones click as they rub off each other, mimicking a bone being reset'.

Materials: sterling silver, sterling silver snake chain

Thinking and Process: This movable piece clicks as the two wee hands clutching the broken bone hit off each other, similar to a broken bone being re-set. The Bone-setter pendant has been created using traditional jewellery techniques such as piercing, soldering and oxidisation to highlight certain areas.

Dimensions: Snake chain 1.9mm x 18", pendant 60mm x 24mm
